My 9.5 Month Journey
Lots of strange and wonderful things happened to my body during this pregnancy (and the last). There are so many things that have changed in these 9 months, and it's so true that looking back it seems that time flies. I can still recall so clearly my husband and I standing with our mouths hanging open in disbelief in front of a positive pregnancy test. That day began a journey called pregnancy that I will remember forever, just like I remember my first pregnancy.
1.) Right off the bat I experienced "morning sickness" which, might I add, is poorly named since the nausea certainly wasn't contained by the morning. I had it just any old time.
2.) I could start to notice a change in my pelvic area right off the bat. Seriously, by like 3 months there was a noticable change (not to everyone, but just to me).
3.) I started having really bad gas pains at about two months. That continued until I was about 4 months along.
4.) At about 4 - 5 months is when I could first start to feel her move. What started out as little flutters is now what I'd call a full blown assault on my insides.
5.) By 6 months my belly was fully rounded and we had found out we were having a girl. We still hadn't decided on a name. That was challenging.
Here I am at 9 1/2 months, simply counting the days until the C-section (unless my little girl decides to come on out on her own) and I couldn't be happier to be starting down the road of motherhood once again with a little girl this time. I can't wait to see what a sweet big brother my Joseph will be to his little sister. He's going to do great. I'm so anxious to see her and finally hold her in my arms after this long journey called pregnancy. Motherhood truly is a gift from God. We are given many gifts from Him in our lives, people just choose to use those gifts in different ways. I pray everyday that I'm leading my son in the right direction and that I can continue to teach both of my children how to be a good christian and how to be kind and humble people. I'm so excited and ready to meet my little angel. Only 6 more days left. I will be sure and get some pics up here asap.

We got a car!!!!
Well we finally did it! We got a car. We won't officially be driving it until this Friday though because we have to have full coverage insurance on it. We would go get it now but we are BROKE on account of putting every dime we have down for the car. lol. I said car but it's not really a car. It's an SUV. It's a Dodge Durango. It's 2000 model and I really like it. My favorite part is that it seats 8 people. WONDERFUL! It's got new tires and rims, tinted windows, a nice CD player and speakers. I am so happy that we will have transportation. You really realize how much you take it for granted just having a vehicle until you have to go without one for a length of time. I sure am humbled to have gone through this experience but I'm very thankful that we don't have to worry about it any longer. This is what it looks like. It's even the same color.

CRACK! In my Cocoa Puffs???
Is somebody sneaking in putting crack in my cocoa puffs, or am I entering into the "nesting" phase of my pregnancy. LOL. It's actually pretty funny. I can't seem to sit still. I've cleaned every square inch of this house w/ a mr. clean eraser. which, might I add, works like magic. I've been dusting, vacuuming, cleaning out the fridge, sweeping, mopping.... basically you name it and i've done it. I think the house is about clean now.

I Have Been Blessed
Well i'm off for the summer, so you would think that I would be relaxing and stuff. BUTTT.... I've been a VERY busy bee trying to get our house situated, should Miss Alexis Paige decide to come early. I've been organizing and cleaning, and rearranging things around this house. I just wish I didn't have a certain 2 year old running around behind me jacking it back up. lol.
We now have everything we need for the baby to come home. pretty much.... haha. All we really lack is a car and a carseat/ carrier but my mother in law bought her a carseat and it's on it's way here, and next saturday we will be going to the car dealership to get a car. sooooo.... everything is coming into place and I thank God for that.
My baby shower was wonderful and I am so blessed to have such a sweet and generous church family. They are awesome. I got a really cute bouncer, an AWESOME twin stroller, a cute princess crib bedding set, a bathing lounger, and a ton of other stuff. I am so grateful for all the things I got at the baby shower. It just goes to show you that God DOES know the desires of my heart and he wants to give them to me. Here's a pic of me on the day of my baby shower. I felt pretty =D.

Whew! Almost There.......
Well it's been a while since I posted anything. We have been so busy here lately and to be completely honest, the past couple of weeks of this pregnancy have been VERY draining. The school year is over so I don't have to teach my PE or Bible class at the school anymore. I liked doing it but it's a relief that I don't have to do it right now because I have soooo many other things I have to do before the baby is here.
Speaking of the baby we've had more scares since the contractions that I blogged about last. I experience those same contractions practically everyday now. They eventually go away but I have to say they are QUITE uncomfortable. This past Saturday we actually went to the hospital because we were concerned about the contractions. They monitored them for a while but they were very far apart so they gave me some instructions to drink more water and sent us home. Since then I vowed that we're not going in to the hospitol unless:
1. my water breaks
2. i'm bleeding
3. it's july 2nd =D
Today I go to the doctor @ 3:50pm. Tomorrow is my baby shower. I'm excited about that. We are still trying to get a car. That's more than just a little frustrating. We should have the money we need by next week so those that will just put that up on your prayer list that we get a reliable car that's going to be able to get our growing family around. Well I'm gonna go ahead and quit for now, just wanted to update everyone on all the things going on.

America's Next Top Model Finale!
I just want to say that I am very excited that Whitney won America's Next Top Model. Even though I absolutely LOVE Anya (and think she's adorable), I am proud that a full figured woman won. It's time we stop seeing skinny as beautiful. EVERY woman is beautiful in her own unique way. Being pretty should NOT mean being a size 2! I'm just proud one of da bootilicious sistas won!!!! And she looked BEAUTIFUL!
