My First Doctor's Appointment

Well my first appointment was uneventful. He thinks that judging by the pelvic exam and my guess ( which is really almost like I drew a date out of a hat.) of the first day of my last period, that I am about 10 weeks along but he scheduled me a sonogram for January 3rd! Yay!!! I'm excited for that appointment. Rene will be coming with me to that one. I got to hear the baby's heart beat though and that was really neat. It made it seem more like reality that two pink lines... lol. But this doctor is really cool. I like him alot. Since I had such a high risk pregnancy with Joseph (w/ the pre-eclampsia [sp?] and stuff) he's taking early precautions which makes me feel very confident in him. he went ahead and sent me home w/ a jug to do a 24 hr urine analysis to find out what the normal amount of protien for me is so that he can know when or if my kidneys start not functioning properly. We're going to do a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) but at the first sign of pre-eclamsia (sp?) then we'll schedule a c-section. That's fine w/ me b/c i don't want to take any chances.
