Cool Stuff

Well this past Tuesday we had a special visitor from Arizona. Kenny May came to visit and it sure was nice seeing him again. Rene worked w/ Kenny last summer doing mission trips to Mexico, and since our youth group will be going to Mexico this June, Kenny came down to talk to our teens a little about the trip. Also, Kenny brought the rest of my husband's stuff that has been in storage since he moved to Texas. I was kind of expecting a bunch of junk but I was pleasantly surprised.

You know Rene and I had been kinda saying... ew Joseph needs a new carseat (only b/c there are tator tots inbedded in the very fibers of the old seat). Another thing we've been saying we needed was another bookshelf, and some other odds and ends. But in my own mind I have been wanting some new pots and pans, some new casserole dishes, a crock pot, and I had secretly been wishing for some REAL silverware. The reason I'm telling you this is because ALL of that stuff was in his stuff from the storage building. The Lord works in mysterious ways, yes indeedy. I'm so impressed by this and to me it just verifies what I already knew in my own head. God loves me so much he wants to give me the desires of my heart. That is so profound. I'm so grateful to the Lord right now because he went above and beyond what I could've thought I wanted and gave me a cool blender, a juicer, and some other very cool gadgets that I don't even know what they are yet. And I'm still not over the coolest most awesome gift the Lord's given me recently and that's the baby girl that we've prayed for. I think we're going to name her Aubrey but we still haven't come up with a middle name.

God is so good. I want to cherish every single gift he's given me.
