Lots of strange and wonderful things happened to my body during this pregnancy (and the last). There are so many things that have changed in these 9 months, and it's so true that looking back it seems that time flies. I can still recall so clearly my husband and I standing with our mouths hanging open in disbelief in front of a positive pregnancy test. That day began a journey called pregnancy that I will remember forever, just like I remember my first pregnancy.
1.) Right off the bat I experienced "morning sickness" which, might I add, is poorly named since the nausea certainly wasn't contained by the morning. I had it just any old time.
2.) I could start to notice a change in my pelvic area right off the bat. Seriously, by like 3 months there was a noticable change (not to everyone, but just to me).
3.) I started having really bad gas pains at about two months. That continued until I was about 4 months along.
4.) At about 4 - 5 months is when I could first start to feel her move. What started out as little flutters is now what I'd call a full blown assault on my insides.
5.) By 6 months my belly was fully rounded and we had found out we were having a girl. We still hadn't decided on a name. That was challenging.
Here I am at 9 1/2 months, simply counting the days until the C-section (unless my little girl decides to come on out on her own) and I couldn't be happier to be starting down the road of motherhood once again with a little girl this time. I can't wait to see what a sweet big brother my Joseph will be to his little sister. He's going to do great. I'm so anxious to see her and finally hold her in my arms after this long journey called pregnancy. Motherhood truly is a gift from God. We are given many gifts from Him in our lives, people just choose to use those gifts in different ways. I pray everyday that I'm leading my son in the right direction and that I can continue to teach both of my children how to be a good christian and how to be kind and humble people. I'm so excited and ready to meet my little angel. Only 6 more days left. I will be sure and get some pics up here asap.
